Why do we speak of Nature as feminine? All essential ressources needed for our development are supplied by mother’s body from blood to food. Nature birthed us and nourished us, like a mother to an infant. The earth breathes and grows just like we, human beings, do. Some cultures embraced the notion that Nature had its own spirit.
In the body of work Exploration, I present specimen I picked during my travels through the realm of dreams. While travelling, I experienced a world in which Nature and Humans are equal and even compliment each other. Exploration is an ode to women and especially to a mother we all share, Mother Nature. Embodiment of Nature, my specimen are displayed in a museum-like cabinet. Through the technic of transfer, the viewer provided with a magnifying glass can observe the ink spreading through the matter like Humans spread their imprint all over the planet.
